Tiger Woods Sets World Record
Spring 2010: Tiger has been setting all sorts of records, but now he is back in the saddle and completed his first comeback performance with a little less than stellar results amid an active temper that was caught on tape.
Sunday August 9, 2009 - From the Bridgestone Invitational, Tiger Woods hits his 8 iron from 178 yards right next to the hole 16 cup as Padraig Harrington from Ireland was having the opposite luck after being up three shots early on, with his triple-bogey resulting in a World Golf Championship win for Tiger Woods.
This makes 70 career wins for a .299 winning percentage. This win was the 16th in 30 WGC events.
We will see how it goes at this year’s final PGA Championship at Hazeltine in Chaska, Minnesota.
Tiger is being fined by the PGA Tour though for his public criticism of an official right after winning the Bridgestone Invitational.
His quote to Harrington was “I’m sorry that John got in the way of a great battle.” No one will quite know how it would have ended if the clock did not appear in the equation, but Tiger wins it officially.
