2012 Canadian Open Golf
The 2012 Canadian Open golf tournament took place July 23-29, 2012 at the Hamilton Golf and Country Club in Hamilton, Ontario with Scott Piercy emerging as the winner at -17. Tied for second were Robert Garrigus and William McGirt with -16.

Next year the Open will be held at Glen Abbey Golf Club in Oakville
Last year, Sean O’Hair defeated Kris Blanks in a one-hole playoff to win the 2011 RBC Canadian Open that took place at the Shaughnessy Golf & Country Club in Vancouver.
This year the Canadian Open was held at the Harry Colt designed course at the Hamilton Golf & Country Club in Hamilton, Ontario. The format was 72 holes - cuts after 36.
Qualifying rounds began Monday and the Championship rounds took place beginning Thursday, July 26, 2012.
From July 23 – 29, 2012, the Hamilton Golf and Country Club in Ancaster hosted the 72 hole tournament with a cut after 36.
Starting with 156 players, the field was quickly reduced to the lowest 70 scores and ties after two rounds.
Beginning Monday, July 23, the Pro-Am Final Qualifying Practice Rounds also took place. Then on Tuesday, the Practice Rounds commenced. On Wednesday July 25 was the Championship Pro-Am CN Future Links "Walk with a Pro".
Thursday, July 26 2012 was the actual begin of the Championship Round 1
Friday, July 27 was the Championship Round 2 and Saturday, July 28 was the Championship Round 3. The final round was played on Sunday, July 29 in a very close finish with Scott Piercy taking the win. The Hamilton course is a beautiful course and will host some of the finest Canadian Open golf.
The 2013 Canadian Open will be held back at the Glen Abbey Golf Club in Oakville.
