The Glen Abbey Recreation Centre located at 1415 Third Line offers community activities in to keep us active, fit and healthy.
Glen Abbey Community Recreation Centre
Featuring a complete skating rink, swimming pool, squash courts, fitness programs and more, the "rec center" of Glen Abbey is available to the entire community. With the Oakville Public Library in the same building and the Oakville Gymnastics Club adjacent to this facility, there are many activities for all ages.
Hours of operation of the Glen Abbey Community Centre:
September to June
Monday - 6:30 a.m. to 10:30 p.m.
Tuesday - 8:30 a.m. to 10:30 p.m.
Wednesday - 6:30 a.m. to 10:30 p.m.
Thursday - 8:30 a.m. to 10:30 p.m.
Friday - 7:30 a.m. to 9 p.m.
Weekend - 8 a.m. to 7 p.m.
from July to Labour Day the centre closes at 5 p.m on weekends
Fitness classes include body sculpting, power stepping, cariovascular training, group cycling, yoga and other core exercise classes. Facilities & Equipment include fitness centre, weight training, cardio equipment, treadmills, rowing machines, elliptical trainers, stairmasters, cycles, squash courts and outdoor tennis courts.
The Glen Abbey Community Centre Pool offers a leisure pool and waterslide, a conversation pool, a sauna in the pool area and different schedules for swimming laps or public swimming. Swimming lessons are also offered.
For skating, there are two Arenas: call 905-815-5950 for available ice time.
