Train Service from Suburbs to Downtown Toronto
GO Trains and GO Buses serve a population of six million people and provide service from downtown Toronto to Hamilton, Milton, and Guelph to the west and Orangeville, Barrie, and Beaverton to the north; Stouffville, Uxbridge and Port Perry to the northeast; and Oshawa and Newcastle to the east.
The GTA or Greater Toronto Area is made up of the City of Toronto and the surrounding Regions of Halton, Peel, York, and Durham.
There are seven train lines including Lakeshore West, Georgetown, Milton, Barrie, Richmond Hill, Stouffville, and Lakeshore East.
Bus connections extend the train's reach even further to Newcastle in the east and Hamilton in the west.

The GO train service provides weekday transportation to about 200,000 passengers daily. Most use the train to connect to Union Station in downtown Toronto. For more information, rates and times, see gotransit.com
