Tennis Beginners Videos - step by step Tennis instruction

Glen Abbey encourages fitness! Simply go for a walk or biking on one of the many trails, or take part in the various fitness programs available throughout the community.

Glen Abbey Tennis and Racquet Sports

There are several places to play tennis in Oakville.

For kids, there are programs, lessons and various racquet sport opportunities.

BADMINTON
Badminton Shuttles Youth Level I (9-12 yrs) & Badminton Shuttles Level 2 (13-17 yrs) designed for kids to learn the game basics. Things to bring along are your own racquet and mandatory protective eye guards.

Glen Abbey Badminton - Youth Summer Shuttles (10-16 yrs) Continuation of Youth Shuttles.

TENNIS - mini
Glen Abbey Tennis - Mini Junior (5-6 yrs), Mini Senior (7-8 yrs) These particular programs involve smaller racquets and lower nets in order to introduce young kids to the sport of tennis. In these programs, the equipment is supplied and the class size is six.

TENNIS - junior
Glen Abbey, Glenashton Park and River Glen Park.
Tennis - Youth Junior Beginner I & II (9-11 yrs); Youth Senior Beginner I & II (12-15 yrs); Introduction to the basic skills and rules. Skills learned include proper forehand, backhand and baseline play.

SQUASH
Glen Abbey, Glenashton, River Glen Community Centres
Youth Squash (9-13 yrs) Learn squash moves and the rules of squash. Protective eye guards are mandatory.
